The first kick off meeting of the ERASMUS + Capacity Building in the field of higher education 2020 of the STEAM-edu project was held at SUM. Nineteen partner institutions are participating in this project, in which the University of Mostar is the grant holder, ie the main project coordinator. The aim of the project is to contribute to the promotion of innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to STE (A) M education by designing, developing and evaluating Master studies in the field of STEAM education. The introductory words of the conference and welcome speeches were given by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. dr. Sanja Bijakšić, and on behalf of the National Office Erasmus + in BiH, the head of the Office mag. Suad Muhibic. This project is an unquestionable success and challenge for SUM, but it is also a success for the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Namely, in addition to the experience in participating in such projects as partner institutions, only 2 public universities in our country had the role of project leader or coordinator within this Erasmus + program. On the first day, the kick off meeting was marked by getting to know the partners and their STEAM potentials, while on the second day the coordinator, together with the leaders of certain work packages from Greece and Cyprus, introduced the partners to the activities necessary to result in an accredited STEAM master program. At the first meeting, activities were agreed on the establishment of the main bodies that will manage the project and take care of quality assurance of both the implementation of the project and its final results. The dynamics of carrying out the planned activities for the next six months, which should start as early as March 1, was also agreed.
